SkatewayThe Whitehaven 10.95 is the smallest of the Whitehaven series and as the original 10.5 has been the most popular of the range since its introduction in 1992. Only minor changes have been made since the first one was launched, the most noticeable being the larger and wider cabin that is now standard. One of the first launched was Azonic in 1995 built by Mike and Glenda Brooks who have recently launched there second Whitehaven, Skateaway.

The hard chine as seen on the early Whitehavens is now a rounded flair on all models which is both more aesthetically pleasing as well as easier to construct and fair.

Berths in the forward cabins are 1.58 m wide with sitting headroom. The flair of the hulls allows for a seat on the outer side, shelf and or hanging locker. Forward in the hulls can be a single berth, storage or a head. The galley is in the hull with ample bench and stowage space.

The saloon is a roomy open area enhanced by a large companionway or 2 companionways to the cockpit. There are many options here decided around where the navigation station is situated. This can be at the end of the settee or in the hull if preferred.

Aft in one hull is a double berth with a large “bathroom” in the other hull. The large cockpit is great for socializing. Steering can be a single wheel in the centre or twin wheels or tillers if preferred. A versatile setup is having both tillers and wheel steering where the cables from the wheel can be disconnected from the tiller bar.

Engines are twin 9.9hp 4 stroke outboard motors in pods under the cockpit seats although a single central 15hp 4 stroke outboard is also an option.
