Daggerboards.
Carbon Fibre molded boards are available from Latitude
8 Yachts. Plans are also provided for Western Red Cedar
boards.
Rudders are Foam f/glass on Carbon Fibre rudder shafts.
Rudder shafts are in 2 pieces with a break in the shaft
just above the swim step which this setup allows.
Although not kick-up the rudders can be easily removed
for beaching.
The resulting balanced spade rudder is far more efficient
than the transom hung variety.
