Jouvert wins both the Whitsunday Multihull regattas.

 

Peter Berry’s Whitehaven 11.8 m catamaran Jouvert continued the winning ways of Pescott catamarans in Queensland’s major multihull regattas and races in 2011 with 2 fine regatta wins, first in Airlie Beach Race Week and shortly after in the Whitsunday Multihull Rendezvous.

Sporting a new set of Ullman sails, Jouvert scored 4 wins from 6 races in Airlie Beach Race Week to record a regatta victory over Keith Glover’s all conquering trimaran Trilogy, with Simon Hull’s impressive ORMA 60 tri Team Vodaphone Sailing finishing third after a week of exciting sailing in typical tradewind conditions.

In the Whitsunday Multihull Rendezvus, Jouvert proved that her Race Week victory was no flash in the pan by again winning the regatta beating the much larger catamaran Bulletproof and the trimaran Overdrive.
